Thanks for advice really need it at this point. Just don't want to do something that I might regret later. As we are getting older we want convenience push a button have satellite, RV leveled & wish we could just shut our eyes & water & sewer would be hooked up. Just wishing. After what I saw on the news last nite could someday happen. Amazon has drones that can deliver packages to your door. Who would have ever thunk. Not me. As some might be thinking we are not lazy. Be certain to check the Winnebago dealer in Forest City, Iowa - Lichtsinn. They've been in business for 40 years and are one mile from the Winnebago factory. They also have an extensive website with tons of YouTube videos on their new coaches. You can have a field day just shopping the Winnebago products on-line before ever picking up the phone to enquire about a deal. I would buy from Lichtsinn if at all possible when buying a new Winnebago, and pick it up right from the factory dealer in Forest City, Iowa. They look like great folks to deal with too!

Are you comfortable with both dealers? If prices are about the same go with the one you like the best, you may need him a time or two.

Regarding your question... you didn't provide enough purchase information to make a reasonably educated decision on purchase price. You could talk to 10 different dealers and get 10 different prices; all trading does is muddy the waters. However...

By trading you automatically give the dealer the opportunity to make money off of you twice; on your trade in vehicle and on the MH you purchase.

Sell what you have outright and apply that cash to the purchase of your new MH. Decide on what you want to buy, in your case a Winnebago. Call the MH manufacturer and request a "Buy" order sheet listing the MSRP of the MH and all available options. Select the options you want, add the MSRP price of the options to the MSRP price of the MH, total it, deduct 35%, offer that price and order it, or walk if they don't take your offer. Someone will take the offer. You'll at least reduce the dollar amount beating you're going to take on purchasing a new MH. Good luck.

Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)

When you are trading the dealer has two prices to manipulate on the deal, so the bottom line on what you are buying is not so relevant, rather the trading difference. Then you must also know the value of what you are trading, relative to the trade in price offered.

Are the two motor homes similarly equipped? How far apart are the prices ? I would expect with an MSRP of $103-108,000 give or take, you should be probably looking at $80,000 to mid 80's for final price, before talking about a trade.
