New class c owner

Ok. So I picked up my new to me 2007 winnebago on Friday. Love it but I noticed a couple quirks on the drive home. The steering wheel shimmies at highway speeds. It comes and goes. The second odd thing is that it feels like there is a crosswind but there is no wind. Any ideas as to what is wrong? The rv is still under the dealers warranty.

The shimmy could be caused by an out of round or out of balance tire or rim.

The feeling of a cross wind is most likely due to alignment.

On Fords, increasing the front caster can result in car like handling.

I think most RVers would agree that tires should be replaced every 5 to 6 years no matter how *good* they look. If your 2007 has the original tires, they are at least 7 years old or older. Check the side-wall of the tire for the date of manufacture. I would recommend new tires, high speed balance of the tires and a front end alignment.

Check brakes rotors could be giving you issues. Check tires etc. I have noticed with a Class C there is a little play in wheel. Really check the tires over. I bought an 01 with 5,000 miles on it in 2011 tire tread was like new but had some cracking and I really should have replaced the tires. I made it 6000 miles then had a blow out on the rear. Bought all new tire.

Can you say DRY ROT. Check the side walls for cracking.
Ozone also has an effect on tires.

33000 and tires are barely worn.

IMHO First you need to fill the gas tank fresh water tank and load it as if you if you were going out on a trip including all passengers and take it to a scale and have it weighed front axle and rear axle. If you do not have at least 75% of the rated weight on your front axle rearrange your load till you do. Second air your tires to match the weight. Third if the tires are over 5 years old replace them. Fourth go to a good truck alignment shop and have the shocks replaced,realigned and a check of your suspension and steering components.

Tire's if original from 07. Are do for replacement. Have them balanced also. Have them put in longer metal valve stems on rear wheels.

First, I'd get the alignment and tires checked. Next have the steering linkages checked. Then I'd have the brakes checked. New shocks could be in order too.

My first guess is you need a front end alinement, You might check your front tires to see if they are wearing evenly. If wearing of on the inside or outside that would be an indication
