Which is cheaper, replace drivers and passengers seats or re-holster old ones?

We live in Saint George, Utah and am open to suggestions as to where is the closest shop for new or redoing the old ones. Looking for reasonable cost also.

While that is true in some cases the UltraLeather brand is very durable and lasts a long time. Some RV manufacturers have used an inferior knock off that is **** and cracks and delaminates in a few years - sometimes only a couple of years.
True UltraLeather is expensive. As I recall we spent more than $50 per yard for it when we recovered all of the furniture in our motor home. We were fulltimers and when we sold it 6 years later it was as good as new.

On my Flexsteel furniture, the arms would come off of the couch. Captains chairs have removable arms and they will fit through the door.

By taking your seats to an upholstery shop, you can get REAL leather for less than it will cost you to buy new seats with fake leather. Besides that, you can pick the density of the foam you want to use to improve the comfort.

We reupholstered the captain's chairs in our 2006 Phaeton. Cost about the price of one brand new chair. We picked out the fabric we wanted which was much better quality than the original. We went through Mastercraft who builds RV furniture.

They ordered the fabric and the gal who did the work for us works for MC and moonlights on the side.

I chose to replace rather than reupholster. This decision was made after talking to 3 upholsters all of which said it was cheaper to replace than deal with a seat that has the seat belt thru the back rest.

Glad I did. Got a much more comfortable seat plus all new hardware, motors, etc.

Reupholstery. While it may not be cheaper you definitely could fet much better material.
