Noisy Dometic Air Conditioner

I've had a 2014 Unity by Leisure since it was new and have always thought the low profile Model 651916 Dometic A.C. was awfully noisy! I mentioned it to the dealer (La Mesa RV) while it was still under warranty and he laughed and said they all are noisy! Well I don't think so!! I took off the inside the coach trim and have found about 1/16" play in the blower's squirrel cage and am thinking this might be the problem? What do you think? I am on the road and not able to get up on the roof to investigate further topside....and unfortunately it looks like it takes a very long Allen wrench to reach the set screw holding the blower to the shaft...which I also do not have with me! Has anyone faced a similar noise problem and do you have any suggestions or encouraging words? BTW, I have run the fan only without the AC and it is still noisy! Snoop

Same problem with a friends motorhome. Found that fan had become loose from motor shaft. While tightening up screw. Found fan had been hitting a panel inside AC. Moved fan over a little to stop it from hitting.
As already stated. Make sure power is off before attempting repair.

We thought the same thing about the noise. Ask about it when we had it back at the manufacture and was told they all make different type of noise, about a year later the blower came apart, talk about noise I thought the roof was coming off!
I unbolted the motor and lifted it out to work on it. Make sure the breaker is off so it does not start.
Good Luck
