Personal experiece regarding (dare I say it) class B+

Newbie here. Just bought my first RV. Started out wanting Class A. Wife wanted a big one. Days of research revealed that It may not be the romantic adventure she envisioned. We don't want to be campers, more like travelers, but not full time. It seemed like everywhere we would go we would be herded into a campground or RV park. When we go to the beach, we want to park at the beach. So I convinced the wife that for our style, we had to get a class B so we would could park anywhere. But she wouldn't even look at a class B shower and they just aren't big enough for us. We ended up with a Pleasure way Pursuit that is roomier than a standard B, has a real shower, and still fits in a standard parking spot. The point is, I never looked at Class C so if there was no B+ category, and the Pursuit was strictly classified as a C, I never would have seen what is I hope the perfect size for us.

rvit,
Regarding RV toilet tissue: this product is made to break up quickly in your holding tanks so the paper doesn't clog the drain when dumping. We tried an experiment you may want to try. Take the tissue and place them in a jar of water and shake the jar. We found some regular tissues break up as fast and as in as small a pieces as the more expensive RV tissue. So we use regular tissue in the toilet. So far no problems have been encountered.

Best wishes for many happy travels.

I like your choice: Pleasure-way quality and perfect size, 22ft. Parking should be no problem. Congratulations

rvit if you are a complete newbie you also need to have a supply of RV toilet paper and a box of holding tank chemicals. We use Thetford Aqua Chem envelopes that come 10 to a box. There has been some controversy about the environmental effects of the formaldehyde in Aqua Chem but I am satisfied myself that it is not a problem. Walmart carries all these supplies.

Since I hear sleeping overnight in rest areas is questionable in some states I thought I could sleep in one during the day without being harassed. Thanks about the fridge switch over, I would have never known.

Certainly can't offer any driving suggestions to a professional driver. It's a long way from MI to NH, I presume you are going to camp one nite. State parks that far north may not be open yet. Do you have a Trailer Life Campground Directory? Indispensable when traveling. Also, if you plan to use your refrigerator on your trip, you may need some leveling blocks. For safety, the refrigerator should be run on DC while on the road but don't forget to switch it to gas or AC when you stop or it will flatten the house battery - been there, done that. Good luck.

Thank you all. I'm flying to Grand Rapids MI on 4/15 to pick it up and coming back to NH alone. I'm getting a "walkthrough" and full tanks of gas and propane. Any concerns for a newbie who drives trucks this size all the time but has never driven an RV?

Congratulations rvit on your new RV. My impression is that you have picked an outstanding RV and I am seriously looking the Pursuit myself. We traveled for 7 years in a PW Excel, a true Class B. PW quality is outstanding, we had practically no problems with it at all. I am very interested to hear how you are doing with your new RV to get the benefit of your experience.
