I have read that 30% off MSRP is a good goal when buying new but is that apply to all makes the same?

If you are from WI you have lots of options. However it depends on the make and model you want. If it is very popular you will have trouble getting much of a discount except at selected large internet dealers.

Discounts on MSRP are a bit of give and take between us buyers and the dealers but we must be ready to get up and walk away from a price that is beyond our budgets or what we are willing to pay. 30% discounts have been posted buy some buyers but there are many variables between dealers that will effect the end price.

A good benchmark is RV Direct. They have a high volume low markup strategy. The discount off MSRP varies depending on the local market. The shipping cost varies as well. You can check the Internet dealer sites for baseline costs. 25% - 30% is a good place to start.
