Remove 50amp genset and replace with 50 shore power

Since I have a 96 class A with a 30 amp service but a 50 amp genset that would run both AC units. I would like to remove the generator and wire in a 50 amp shoreline so I can run everything. Does anyone see a problem doing this as long as the proper materials are used?

Going to sell generator since its never used and needs some work. Why carry that extra weight and take up the space, Maybe put a small air compressor in its place.

Yup, a viable "work around" to true 50 amp wiring.

BTW, very unusual to have a 7KW generator with 30 amp wiring.

The only new procedure will be you will have 2 cords to plug in to the pedestal; the existing 30A shorepowr cord, and the newly added 20A service which you'll simply plug in to oneof the 20A/120V receptacles in the power pedestal.

There's a simpler way to get power to both A/C's that works even on most 30 amp sites. It involves determining which hot and neutral in the generator wiring junction box feeds the second A/C. That pair is brought out to a 20 amp plug and socket that can be unplugged to connect a 12 ga extension cord that plugs into the 20 amp utility outlet found on most campsite panels.

One each hot, neutral, ground 10 gauge wire

Generator possible wiring, very common
One neutral, one ground , two hots
One hot goes to ts stitch and breaker panel for 30 amps
Second hot goes only goes only too the second a/c

50 amp shore power
One neutral, one ground, two hots, all wires are 6 gauge
It is 50 amps on each hot, 100 amps total

This has nothing to do with removing the generator
You can Not just remove generator and splice wires to new shore cord
You need new breaker panel, new wire from panel to the New TS, all the way to the New shore connection

Sorry, makes no sense. If 50 amp generator (never heard of them being rated in amps) why not just leave the generator in place and replace:

Shore power cord

Wiring from shore power cord to ATS (assume you have an ATS-- if not to a new outlet that generator can be plugged into)

New wiring from ATS to main 120 VAC breaker box

New breaker box with 240 VAC/two HOTS inputs.

This AIN'T for the faint of heart or on a small budget. There are other options, but this would be the "automatic way"-- the way a 50 amp coach would have been wired from the factory.
