Roadtrek sleeps 4?

I'm looking at getting a Roadtrek adventurous RS sometime in the future. We have two young boys and I was wanting some input from RS owners who have used the beds they make for the front seats. What are they like? How tall can one be and sleep in them? Are they level when all set up? Thanks in advance.

yes, tent makes good sense.

you'll be carrying bedding/sleeping bags anyway and a 2 man tent is pretty tiny these days

I have a 210 Popular with the front bed option. It is a flat folding bed surface with about 3" of foam padding. When laid out on the seats is is quite level and the wood backing under the foam mattress keeps it that way. On mine at least I think someone who was no taller than about 5'8" would be OK, but that's pretty much true for the twin beds in the back of my unit as well.

Depending on the age of the kids it might be more fun for them to carry a tent and let them sleep in it outside. Probably be better for the parents too. LOL

Not an owner- - having looked at other models- the seats make into kinda lumpy beds- they'll probably be fine for kids ( I saw a post where they made a pallet to fit across the 2 front seats with a pad for a bed there) I'd say the beds are about as good as most airline business class beds- just shorter so depends on the kids' size.

one thing I notice is that a bed can block the exit which can be inconvenient- and maybe a concern in an emergency. You could "fire drill" the family with the bed made up and in place.
