Have a new Jayco Greyhawk 32Ds, suggestions on where to store sewer hose. Tube installed on coach won't cut it.

I have a setup like this. I never unhook the slinky and never go through the cleaning ritual I see so often when waiting at a dump station. When finished dumping I pull a couple feet of hose from the top and coil it in the tray, I have a screw on cap that goes into the pipe, I push the hose back in with the cap and screw in it in. Total time about 30 seconds.

Yes, Yes, Mine is the same as CinandTim, the bumper is channel iron and has no place for a stinky slinky, only the worthless one on the side, 3" diameter and a small door.

It does not have a hollow bumper. And the hose tube on the jayco is useless, it's about 2 1/2 ft long and 3 inch diameter. I have rhino and it won't fit. Cannot extend tube on greyhawk because of frame rail.

And yes I do use those rubber gloves when dumping.

I also use a Rubbermade Tote to store my fresh water hoses too, also to keep from cross contamination.

It is nice to have a lot of room to store things.

X2 with the rubber made containers. Do you have a hollow number? The sewer hose usually goes there, out of the way and convenient to boot!

In our Tioga 26Q, the sewer hose goes in the shore cable compartment. Why RV makers put too-small diameter hose storage containers in RV's is a mystery along with need for installing long custom bent solid metal valve stems and awnings that can unwind, inflate and self-destruct. Does RVIA monitor these forums? Is RVIA concerned for RV users?

I bought a clear plastic tub from Wally World with a lid. Since the fittings are way larger than most sewage pipes when using the Valterra hose (but they work well), I do that. It does take up room in the storage compartment, which is a downside.

We store the hose and all attachments in a blue plastic container with a lid in a side compartment which also contains wood for leveling.

We tried the garbage bag idea...waaay to messy, especially on a windy day. Now we have a 20 ft. hose in a flat plastic bin with a snap closure lid. Much better.

I put 10 feet in the tube and another 10 with adapters on it in a garbage bag in one of the bays for when I need it.

Buy the Rhino hose. Works great.

Here's how I enlarged the short sewage hose compartment. I cut off the existing compartment and added a length of PVC drain pipe with flared end to slip over the shorten compartment. I wedged the end of the pipe over the frame rail. Had to cut the end at an angle to fit over the frame. I used PVC cement to glue the pipe in place. I drilled a few drain holes in the pipe.

I put my big one in a garbage bag and store in a storage bay used only for this purpose , this hose is for longer stays. My short hose for dumping at dump sites goes in to its storage tube.

I don't have a Jayco, but I store both of mine in the rear bumper.
