Slideout Problem

When I left campground the slideout came in OK. When I got to the next camping spot the slideout would not move. Could this be the in/our switch.

In my Winnebago the slides work best with engine running but will work without. Emergency brake on? I forget that all the time.

Like said before, if the main engine's running, the slide won't work. If you didn't have the engine running, and the slide motor won't turn...then start simple and work your way up to complex. Check to make sure that you haven't accidentally disconnected the wire going to the motor. On mine, the wiring harness hangs down slightly below the motor and it's easy to hang the wires with "stuff" that I'm putting in the storage bin. Next, if the wires are connected properly, then you'll want to check with a voltmeter that you are actually getting voltage to the motor. Disconnect the plug and insert the test probes while someone activates the switch inside. If no power, then go to the fuse panel and look for a blown fuse or a tripped breaker. If you have power to the plug and the motor is still not turning, then the only other option is that your slide motor is shot.

I thought I had a bad switch. After several hours of troubleshooting I found a bad circuit breaker. I could measure 13 plus volts through out the system but the breaker just couldn't pass the amperage. It didn't kick out either. It was a test light and not a VOM that saved my bacon.

Some won't operate until the engine is shut off. Did you possibly try while it was still on?
