Splendide Washer leaking

Well, now it's my turn to ask for help. My Splendide started leaking and I'm not sure where it might be coming from. We noticed a small puddle about a silver dollars worth on the floor after doing a load. I pulled out the drawer underneath and found the stuff we keep there wet, so it's been leaking for a bit. Debi had done about 3 loads of laundry when we discovered it. So, here's what I've done so far...

Opened the cleanout and inspected the gasket. It's not coming from there.
Propped the front of the washer up and ran it and noticed a drip coming from the right side rear. Not much, just a drip but constant.
Pulled the washer out most of the way. Couldn't take it all the way out as I was using some tree stumps from the campground for frontal support.
Took the back cover off and inspected the hoses, the drain hose fitting, and the rubber hose that feeds from the pump to the cleanout. All were dry.
Pulled the hose clamps off and inspected them for tightness and/or damage. There was none.
I inspected the tub as best as possible and didn't find any areas of damage or indications of a leak.

The washer sits in it's own fiberglass pan with about 3/4 in high sides. The front is removable. At the rear in the middle of this pan is a fitting and a hose that runs through the bottom of the coach to the ground. This is in the event of a major leak the water will catch in the pan and flow out of the coach. Obviously it's not doing its' job. I siliconed the removable front panel in the hopes any further leakage would carry out the aforementioned hose. I let the silicone set up for 48 hours.

Debi just did another couple loads and we noticed the drip again.

So, I'm looking for ideas. It will be covered under our warranty plan but we are traveling with the grandkids and I'm hoping for a simple fix of something I may have overlooked. I know the best method is to pull it and bench test it where visibility is better, but that's not possible at this time. I would prefer not to wait for the winter when we stay put for a couple months but we may have to. Any help will be greatly appreciated.....Dennis

Well...thanks to everyone for your input. I';; call Darrell first thing Monday morning. We will be in Duluth Mn. Do you know if he'll ship to Canada? otherwise, it'll have to wait until we get to Michigan.....thanks again...the water pump "O" ring makes sense. I've already checked the O ring on the lint trap, it's ok.....Dennis

The waterpump O ring is more than likely the problem. I've had to replace ours 2 or 3 times in the last 9 years of fulltiming.

Same thing happened to us. Finally noticed the floor that the washer set on was made out of something like masonite and sometime had been damp and therefor had a low spot and the washer did not set level even tho the coach was level. Put a different floor under the washer so that it set level and no more leakage.

Had a similiar situation two weeks ago, my leak was coming from the discharge pump on the back right side of the washer. Pulled washer out, major job, laid it on side removed pump, installed new in about 15 minutes then spent two hours putting the washer back in the cabinet! Conversely the person I spoke to with Westland was terse on the phone and acted like I was wasting his time asking if I could just replace the diaphram and not the whole pump.

Call Darrell he sent me a seal kit for the pump. Easy to replace hardest part was getting the washer out to work on it. Jim

My Splendide will be older, but your's may have the same setup. There is a lint trap of sorts that needs to be cleaned out. On that lint trap is a large "O" ring. That seems to wear out on us due to sand.

He has been the Splendide Goto guy. Great to work with, in and out of warranty.

He has made arrangements and had parts waiting for arrival at a location while we were traveling. He will ship them overnight on the go.

Call Splendide. The tech will walk you through repairs. Most likely a solenoid valve. I wouldn't be trying to glue stuff up. Once tech walks you through repairs they will ship parts and walk you through replacement of part they sent. They have great service.
