We have a new 2015 Allegra RED 37PA and love it. Just returned from 18 days out west on many different road types. Feel like I need to stabilize the steering and would like to improve the ride if I could. Want to maxamize my comfort in my senior years. Any suggestions?

Steer safe out of Deming NM. Just installed on my 05 Fleetwood Ex and love it. Couch drove good before but is now a great pleasure to drive. Good luck

I installed a Safe-T-Plus on my Safari DP to protect from a loss of control in event of a front tire blowout.
After installation, the steering control was significantly improved. Much less tendency to wander and easier to steer overall. I have been very pleased with the installation.
I installed it myself in less than one hour - very easy.

And, yes wedge shaped shims are the caster adjustment for solid front axles: http://www.truckcomponentsonline.com/TRUCK-CASTER-SHIMS_c_316.html

Add more positive castor using wedges. Have seen it work miracles.

Your Freightliner chassis should not need the add-on items that some posters are suggesting.

More than likely the tires are inflated to the tire sidewall max pressure making the tires to hard.

First thing on any new coach is to weight it and set the tire pressure per the tire manufacturer chart.

Most find that this makes a world of differnce on a rear engine DP.

Second thing is to have your alignment checked. Tiffin or Freightliner will probably cover the cost.

Third have the 'ride height' checked. They typically do this at the alignment.

Guys, this is a RED (Rear Engine Diesel).

Here is some information on the 2015 chassis: http://freightlinerchassis.com/images/pdf/Tiffin/Tiffin%20Allegro%20Red.pdf

Here are some pretty universal issues that affect ride and handling:

Have you weighed the wheel positions and/or axles and set tire pressure accordingly? Over or under inflation can sure affect handling.

If you have the weights, please post them and the GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Ratings) from the sticker that is likely near the driver's area.

Look in your book and see if Tiffin recommended having the alignment checked after loading the coach. For sure, check RIDE HEIGHT, as that can affect handling as much as toe and caster.

Hello

I have a new 2016 Winnebago Sightseer 33C on a 2016 Ford F-53 chassis.

I ordered our new coach from Winnebago. I had a Safe-T-Plus steering damper installed. It helped my Ford chassis.

Safe travels. JD

I added a rear Henderson Trac Bar and was looking to add something to the steering next. I have a 2014 Bounder 34b.
