I am looking at buying a used 2015 Thor Hurricane 27K. It has a very large slide-out that involves about 3/4 of one side. Has anyone heard of any problems with this slide or any other problems with this model?

Thanks, Bob

Thanks for the info. A good fit is a concern. The class C I have now was built for a driver about 5'10" and I am 6'2".

We had a problem with the slide running over a misplaced cable. The dealer fixed the problem and its been working great since.

The windshield had a bad air leak, the seal was replaced.
Dinette Table rattles, fixed with scotch tape around tubes connection the the bases.
The bedroom drawer slides had to be reinstalled.

Make sure you drive test the 27K and its a good fit for you.

I've only heard good things about those coaches (for the most part). The large slides are kind of newish and I think it's premature to see if they'll do well in the long haul. SO far so good though.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

I would question why someone traded a brand new MH but I'll doubt you'll ever get a real answer to that question.

That was my first thought. If they traded for something larger, that's understandable. But, it they traded for a similar size from another manufacturer, that would be a red flag for me.
Unfortunately, the OP will probably never know the real reason it was traded or sold.
Checking for warranty work is a good start.

Issues come into play on the Schwintek full wall slides. No doubt the 27k uses Schwintek mechanisms but it's a smaller slide and should be fine. I would question why someone traded a brand new MH but I'll doubt you'll ever get a real answer to that question. Ask the dealer, or get the vin and call Thor to see what sort of warranty work was done on the coach. It should tell a decent story of whether it's had issues. We love our Thor and have had a great experience with their customer service.
