Just purchased a 2005 Nat Dolphin 38' class A MH; also got extended warranties (bumper to bumper for 3 yrs & tire/wheels for 5 yrs.) After signing papers, I decided to buy 4 rear tires. Question is it worth keeping tire/wheel protection? I also have had forever Good Sam's roadside service since we have had many RVs in the past. We are planning to go full time in the spring and explore the U.S.
I had a blowout in South Carolina a couple years ago due to running over debris in the roadway. My insurance covered the tire, emergency response and everything associated with it. All with no deductible. I say keep it..One tire will pay for it....Dennis

I'd say no, save your cash. However, mechanical/tire warranties are a personal comfort thing that I personally do not see worth the expense. In the 11 years of RV ownership I have never had a tire issue and have only had one flat tire (due to a nail) on all my cars/trucks/trailers in at least the last 20 years. A roadside assistance plan will send the tire guy out to you and I can't imagine the cost patch a nail hole would be that significant. In my experiences a tire failure is not that large a concern and the $969 you will spend on the warranty will cover the cost of two replacement tires should you ever need them. However, as I stated above the real answer is based on how much comfort does the plan give you. Good luck.
Keep the extended warranty on the tires as long as it covers road hazards such as picking up a nail or running over something that kills the tire. Most, but not all, tire manufactures will only provide a detect warranty. You hit something so sad, too bad.
