I replace tires every 5-6 years. Safety and not having a tire problem on the road is critical to me. I have seen blown out tires that have caused major damage to the fiberglass body of a Motorhome. Michelins 22" RV tire prices can vary considerably depending on where you live. I'm on my 3rd set of Mich's and next year will purchase our 4th.

You don't want truck tires you want RV tires. They are the same size but not made the same way and are not used the same way. Check out the FMCA tire program.. I have never used but have heard nothing but great things from those that have used it. The tires are RV tires and sent to your tire dealer. It is at least worth checking it out. Don't use the RV for any reason other than to get the tires replaced. You should never drive an RV with 10 year old tires.

If that price is for XRV's that is a decent price and the tire stem extensions is a very good choice.

, I am going use the same tire and size, price was from local truck tire co. and they do business with me and I wanted to return the favor. Just wanted to make sure it was a decent price. And I also want the brass stems that extend out for ease of checking air pressures.

Be certain to get the proper load rated tires for the weight of your RV not just the correct size................

Agree with you, 11 years is pushing it on a coach. ๐Ÿ™‚ I "think" it sounds like an okay price. Have you tried tirerack.com or discount tire?
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

To expand on Mikes post a little, it's this code you're looking for;

Amazon carries truck tires and if you're trying to save money, and have a Prime membership (free 5 day shipping for tires), the tire size that's a direct replacement for the Michelin's is 255/70R22.5. Amazon carries some that are around $200 per tire and the average shop charges $40-$50 per tire installation, balanced and mounted. Love's truck tire shops is one typical place to have them mounted.

To expand on this good advice:

One one sidewall of each tire is the complete DOT number. The last 4 digits indicate the WEEK and YEAR of production. So 1016 was produced the 10th week of 2016.

Since you will be replacing tires based on age, not tread wear, I would not accept a tire more than 3 months old.

We participated in the Michelin tire program. Very pleased with the savings. I think of it as paying for 5 and getting 6 tires. That is not how it is but the savings are very good. Contact FMCA member services to inquire about FMCA Michelin Advantage Program. FMCA tel. 800.543.3622 FMCA membership department.

Ms. Debbie,

Off the top of my head that seems like a decent price, certainly doesn't seem out of line. You are replacing them all, right?

If you are a member of FMCA (Family Motor Coach Assc.), you can go through their Michelin program and get tires at a good price. I went through the program with our previous coach replacing all eight tires.

Safe travels,

Debbie, it might be in your best interest to join FMCA and buy your tires directly thru Michelin Tire Company. FMCA has a Michelin Fleet Tire Program where you buy the tires thru Michelin Tire at a reduced rate lower than Tire Shops. That rate would be cheaper than what you quoted us on RV.Net! Good Luck in whatever you decide to buy!
