I live in Maryland but have a home in Florida so i have gone thru just what you want to do. An advantage to doing this on a used MH is there is no inspection of any kind, but on a new one i'm not sure if it would do anything for you.
You must have a Florida address to use.
You must insure it in Florida.
If you bought it from a dealer in Florida, only the dealer can title it for you. For some odd reason you cannot do this yourself so it is advisable to have a bill of sale from a private owner. If you bought yours from a dealer outside of Florida i'm not sure how it would work so check.
You still pay taxes in Florida and it's probably about the same rate as NC.
Florida charges an initial registration fee of $225. You get charged this everytime you need tags but if the tags are transfered to another MH it doesn't apply.
MVa doesn't issue titles in Florida, the tax collection offices do. This is where you will find the application online.
Honestly, other than not having an inspection(which can get expensive) i don't see why you would want to do this. It is probably cheaper in NC....
