Does anybody have one of these:

Do you have the surge brakes? How do you like it overall?

If I ever buy a new dolly, it will be this one:

http://www.americancardolly.com/

They will deliver right to my driveway, fully assembled and ready to go.
In the mean time, I have a nearly antique Demco Kar Kaddy that works just fine.

I have this unit and think it's great. easy to fit car on and strap down

bought mine used and it has many years of life left with proper maintenance

love the surge brakes as we can hook to any vehicle and motor off without any issues

My nephew just purchased one of those. He towed from Florida to California with no issues. He didn't want to use a brake controller so he went with that design.

I can't pinpoint anything wrong with it, just a slightly different design.

Clicky - Acme Tow Dolly

That's also the one I would buy if I were going with a dolly.

That is the one I would buy if I were in the market for one.

Lighter weight and with superior disc brakes

The only disadvantage I see is that if you ever want (or need) to tow a rear wheel drive vehicle backwards, you could not do it on this dolly.

I have no experience or seen one of the tow dollys you are referring to. I am the 3rd or even the 4th owner of a roadmaster tow dolly. If I were to purchase a new one, it would be a roadmaster with electric brakes. This one is still as good as new.
