DesertHawk, thanks for your reply and the pictures. Some of them are the same as our just different characters. Also, thanks for your service...

That's why I posted the photos, I noticed we had been to many of the same spots.
As for my service, I didn't mean to give that impression & have added to my comment to keep from give it (my only 'service' was 34 years in a high school art class). My son is the one in the service. US Air Force.
Forgot to add before, WoW! How Many Fish! you guys have caught. The Yellow Eye is very unique looking & colorful creature for sure.
The glaciers & humpback photos from the boat reminded me of our day trip two years ago out of Whittier.
Our son where your Gypsy was fishing:
You guys where very successful at the Kenai Bridge in Soldotna. Nice catch. I'll have to tell my son about the lucky (magic) bench. The run was very slow the day we were there. As it was the next day at the Dip Netting area by the Bridge over the Kenai going to the town of Kenai.
But his freezer is still full from last years catch (Dip Netting) on the Copper River by Chitina. He went with a coworker (civilian-retired Air Force) who was originally from Hawaii. They were in the man's boat. Copper River is extremely swift & can be extremely dangerous as well. The Cooper River Salmon are top rated for eating.
Our son has dip netted off the 'bank' of the Copper as well. In a narrow area off granite rocks sloping down to the river. So steep & the river so swift, people tie safety ropes to themselves & to trees or ATVs up above the cut. A crazy way to fish.
Speaking of Catch, Will you be able to take some of yours back to the Lower 48?
Safe Travels!
