Trouble with my Motosat dish

Having trouble with my Motosat dish. Seems to be locking on the wrong sat. I use Dish Network and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be locking on 119 but it shows it's locked on 128.
Any ideas to try before I spend $900 for a new RF Mogul controller?

I gave away our Motosat and went to the Traveler. Have you tried to reload the software ? Usually that corrects any problems.

Thanks for the replies. Yesterday we were just south of Redding Ca. with bad weather and Dish showed
"Complete signal loss". Today we are in Bakersfield with clear skies and all is well. I know that with my Motosat Controller sooner or later we will be not be able to get anything unless we upgrade to a new controller or a complete new dish. I can't really complain as we have gotten many years of perfect service
from this system. Too bad they went out of business.

You should be able to lock onto either 110, 119, or 129 (western arc satellites). A couple of things to try:
1) Make sure the coach is level; if not, it can affect the elevation and azimuth settings.
2) Depending on the receiver, you should be able to go to Menu, select 6 (system setup), then 1 (installation), then 1 (point dish). Set the satellite to 119 (if that's the one you want), then make the dish search until you get a decent signal strength.

I'm stating this from memory, as I don't have my coach at the house. Also, I have a different brand of antenna (KVH Tracvision S2), which is very old and not really supported any longer, so I have to force a lot of manual searching to get the satellite I want. I apologize if this isn't helpful.

So is it not allowing you to have certain channels? Dish has several satellites, some for HD some for non-HD. If you are missing channels I'd understand.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

The Motosat is built quite sturdy in comparison to the Trav'lr and is in great shape so I'd rather not go thru the hassle of removing it from the roof and installing a completely new dish.
