Ultra Level Hydralic system liquid level check

2012 42' Thor Tuscany. I have a small fluid leak on my mh hydraulic system. I will find and repair.

Question is are you suppose to check the liquid level in the hydraulic tank with the slides in and jacks up or with the slides out and the jacks down?

Also, do you use hydraulic oil or tranny fluid?

Dextron 3 Tranny fluid. HWH fluid is Dextron 3 with NO red dye. Doug

What brand, Is the fluid red. Either way a good flush after repair and put back in synthetic type.
