Is there such a thing as a ladder for a cab over bed ? My young one is not too adept at climbing up and down from Dinette couch.

I'd want something like this one for adult use. Wide rungs easy on the feet.

On the Lazy Daze forum I saw a link to a picture that looked much like the one in the post above mine. But the owner had stapled carpet to the rungs to make it less slippery and easier on the feet. Somehow the wood and carpet matched the RV.

We purchased a wood ladder from Amazon (listed for bunk bed).
It was unfinished and came with the ladder hooks.
I refinished it to match the wood work.
Works well and stores on the bunk easily.

I made a rope ladder for our kids to monkey up and down with. It attaches to the side board I put up to keep them from rolling out of bed.

So I guess they're called Bunk Ladders ?

Ours was provided when we bought it, and it stows under the foldout bed. However, I removed the stowage clips in order to pack blankets and sleeping bags under there. The ladder I just put under the crow's nest bed, which is stowed upward when not in use.

We purchased one from the dealer when we bought our motorhome. In hindsight, I think a 3 rung step ladder would have worked out better. It could be used both inside and outside the motorhome and folds to be just as flat as the ladder.

I'll second j-d's warning about the too-narrow rungs. My Tiger's bunk ladder suffers from that malady, compounded by my having chronically painful feet. My solution was a pair a cheap rigid-sole slippers that are only worn in the RV. I wear them climbing and descending the ladder, stow them in a slot in the overcab bunk at night.

I bought one and returned it in favor of leaning a stepladder against the bunk. At least the ones I've seen have small round rungs that are murder on your feet unless you go to bed with boots on. Our RV floor was carpeted and the ladder stayed in place fine. Folded, leaned against the edge of the bunk. Four- and Six-foot ladders are common. We needed Five-foot and had to get it at Ace Hardware. And we have a ladder for other purposes. For a dedicated bunk ladder I'd consider a wooden stepladder with the folding parts removed, cut to the exact length needed.

I purchased my bunk ladder from Camping World online. It cost about $45. It comes in 60 and 65 inch. I got the 60 in and I had to cut off 5 in for a proper fit, but that was fairly easy with a hacksaw.

Absolutely! Ours came with one, but I know I've seen replacement ones available from Camping World.
Cheers!
