washing the motorhome

Does anyone use an electric or battery powered brush to wash their motorhome?

We would really like something to make the job a little easier. I see electric brushes that will clean tile or bathtubs. I can only imagine that the brushes would be too stiff for a motorhome.

Anyone have experience with anything?

We'll look into other truck washes, we're in the Chicagoland area.

How about Little Sisters (love them more than BB) or any other truck wash in the area?

Blue Beacon is good but they've never washed the roof, said they don't do roofs. Perhaps it's local to where I get mine done in Joplin Mo. My roof was looking pretty ratty with black mold and stains forming so I paid a guy $50 and got a gallon of Zep mold and mildew cleaner. Gleaming white now!!

Yes indeed. Once I discovered that for $36, I can have a crew of 6-8 guys, busting their butts to scrub my motorhome for 15 minutes, and leave it looking spotless and shiny, I'm about done with any thought of DIY washing. I will spot clean any deposits left by birds, and keep the windshield clean, but other than that, if I can't find a Blue Beacon, it can stay dirty. Heck it takes me half a day to do what the Beacon boys can do in a few minutes.

Our manufacturer says not to use brushes on the mh. Wash mits are available for attaching to a pole for the hard to reach spots.

Some large brush head setup are powered by the water flow and swirl around in circles. This makes much more sense to me than battery or electric.

We have a brush that we use now, and it works well. But after shoulder surgery, thought it might be easier to use a powered brush that would do the work for me.

Not motorized but there are some really nice, soft brushes for sale at places like a Kenworth dealer (or probably any big rig supply store). They come with different extension poles and have large heads.
