The 2002 minnie winnie with the water problem. I think I figured it out the charcoal water filter was somehow siphoning back into fresh water. The problem got so bad a steady stream of black, black water would come out for 7 seconds. Took the filter off and have clear water. Not sure why it happened ?

Carbon particles are common and it depends on which filter. The Westinghouse whole house filter I use for drinking water warns to let water flow for ten minutes when you first install it.

I've been using a carbon filter for 10 years and have never had black water come out.

I saw black water when I installed my first new inline filter and as a result now I always flush the filter/hose for about 10 sec before I hook it up to the RV city water input. I think this is a good practice anyway to rinse the hose. I also run the campground spigot before I attach my lines.

How old is the filter?

Do you flush it before using?

I would get black water after non use if I didn't flush filter first....guess the bouncing round would loosen up the filter material so a little charcoal would come out at first
Is it time for your medication or mine?
