I had a bay door painted because I was a dumb $#% and raised the door too high and then proceeded to extend the slide. As I was extending the slide I heard a scratching sound and in my infinite wisdom I thought, well maybe it needs to go in and out a few times. Well the sound did not go away! Later I realized what caused the sound. I'm usually good for one dumb mistake each year. I hope this was the one!

I laughed pretty hard at this one...until I remembered trying to remove one of those doors one time by driving it sideways along the length of its hinge..right past the entry door cutting a nice groove through the paint and beyond. Unfortunately for me I couldn't hear the scratching that you mentioned because the scratching sound was conveniently masked by the blows from the 5 pound mallet. talk about being a dumb $#%!

Thought about it perhaps 100 times. Sigh. It is sitting now and probably will sit until Sept rolls around and we head west again chasing birds until next March. Summer sucks. One of these days, I'll take it for a run just to keep eveything exeercised in what is for me the off-season.

Finished unloading it from out Yellowstone trip we just got back from. Washed it, cleaned inside and out. And fixed the black tank flush hose attachment. (Factory mis-threaded the connection and it leaked water while under pressure.) Put that one on a "'ll fix it later list" about two years ago. Even cleaned out the service bay while I was at it. Looks new!

I wish I could find someone to wax/polish my coach for that little!! Up here you pay a couple hundred plus for just a car :E Needless to say I am too cheap to pay someone that much!! I save the $$ for things I can't do and need to pay someone to do I guess such as the alignment. Which I might add isnt near as exciting as having a shiny new looking coach!!

We pulled our driver's side dual pane window out for our son to replace for us (he works at a commercial glass company).... so right now it's taped up with plastic and cardboard and duct tape! We look like hillbillies.. heh heh

Then we bought two gaskets for the air conditioners, as one was dripping a bit, so that is next on the docket.

Loaded up all the clean bedding, towels and clothes from the last 10 days out, ready for the next trip!

Replaced my house batteries last week and went out this morning to see if the new batteries were holding a charge. Funny thing how my dealer checked everything out and didn't find any problems, but both of the old batteries had at least one dead cell. :R

Added six high intensity LED street pod lights to my Girad awning. installation took some effort to hide all wires and get power into the coach but it turned out looking like the factory installed it. I am very pleased with the amount of patio light I now have and it only pulls just over one amp. We do mostly dry camping so this is a great addition. These can be found at www.streetilluzionz.com there are a high quality billet aluminum housing light.
Next I am thinking about adding some more of these for docking lights.

Surface rust was getting worse and worse so decided I was done procrastinating and wire brushed and painted the black metal area next to the basement door seals. Used black satin rustoleum.
