Getting the motor home ready for a trip next week. Seems the chassis battery was dead. Started with the house batteries emergency start switch. Ran it for about 15 minutes. Turned it off, but the chassis battery was not holding a charge. Time to get a new starting battery as this one is around 10 years old (trickle charge during the winter). Took the dead battery over to Sam's Club. Bought a new one with same dimensions but more starting amps.

Next will be the house batteries. Two are about 10 years old and the other two are about 9.5 years old. The Charge Wizard has kept them alive quite nicely. Only have had to add a little water 2-3 times a year.

Next on the list is to make sure the refrigerator works OK on gas and the hot water heater works on gas and electricity.

Then freshen the water in the tank (drain, some bleach mixture, then fill and drain several times).

Well where do I begin. Replaced radiator and cac and all the frame work that held in the rad. Changed every fluid on the unit right down to the rear-end.Replced all pullys and belt tensioners as well as all belts and hoses. Replaced exhaust system. Replaced air conditioner pump and water pump. New gauges. Droped off at the shop April and just picked it up today. Now for the shocker, cost $10731.00. Yikes. Work was done on my 1996 Safari Sahara 3126b cat. The unit still shines like new and is a very well made unit. Best part is their are no payments. Happy motoring

Sugar, you may have to replace the gasket between the AC and roof. They are designed to be "squished" a certain amount and there is a torque spec on the mounting bolts, you shouldn't need any sealant if the gasket is in good condition and tightened to specs... I just replaced the gasket on the front AC and the cost of the gasket was $12.00 and not a hard job.

Continued work on:
new shelving unit my wife and I made
replacing our kitchenette countertop with bamboo
installing new kitchen faucet
painting oven
installing slides to kitchen drawers (no more plastic guide sliding over a wood track!)
creating a drawer out of a bamboo utensil holder

We started most of that yesterday (except for the shelves) and completed some electrical upgrades (replacing outlets and adding another one). We should be all done tomorrow. Then it's time for the next project ๐Ÿ™‚

Called the body shop to see how much longer till she's fixed. On our very first maiden voyage to MN and back, we got clobbered by a shredded truck tire, just 30 minutes from home. Knocked one of the brackets off holding the hood on, many cracks in fiberglass on her nose. $6,305.00 in damage!

We just bought it, and only used it once, has been sitting in shop for over a month!

We miss it!
