I had an irritating tapping noise somewhere under the dashboard(?) that mainly occurred at speeds over 60mph. I found quite a few cable bundles in the engine compartment that were exposed to the wind and could tap against framing members. I used zip ties to secure them and the noises are gone(?).

Since coming home to my coach almost always requires that I fix something, I played poker at the Casino all day today. By the time I got home it was cocktail time and I never work on the coach after cocktail time!
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

Last week we went to Henderson's Lineup in Grants Pass, Oregon. Had them perform an RPA (Road Performance Assessment). Upon their advice I had them install auxiliary rear anti-sway bar, rear trac bar, front anti-sway bar, a Safe-T-Plus and Koni FSD shocks. Not inexpensive but my motorhome handles a LOT better, and I feel much safer driving it.

X2 on Henderson. They did similar to our 32' 2002 Itasca Horizon DP about 5 years ago. Big difference.

wow Dog Trainerโ€ฆwould love to see photos of those many projects especially the back splash !

I had a horrible clangy noise, like a car fan belt when I would pull awayโ€ฆ
took to Ford who noticed manifold bolts missing..
said could be cracked manifold or just problem with broken or missing boltsโ€ฆ
worse case scenario $2600.00 in parts to repair and just as much in labor.

I took to a local race car repair place and they examined and machined out the manifold which was fine (phew) and had to also get someone in to get the busted bolts out and replace around 9 of them.
I googled this was a common problem with Ford V10'sโ€ฆ great $$

Total cost was $1,100.00 (cash).

I took the RV to have the generator to an onan approved repair shop to have oil change and tune upโ€ฆturns out the new generators have fast burning oil so this sucker was down to less than half the oil it should have (explains not running right I guess) so they got it all looked afterโ€ฆ

running nice now.. can't wait to take it out for a dog show !!

finished cleaning the RV from winter. Drained all tanks, cleaned out the hot water tank gunk.

My best accomplishment today was that I finally got the black tank to read empty again. Sitting in one spot for the winter in hard water really messed it up.

I used
black tank wand from Camping World

It took a while and I really pushed it all the way around in the tank but it now reads empty.

We moved to an open spot in the campground so we could receive satellite signal. Also had to replace two awning straps.

Thursday was 7 new tires. The tire dates on my moho were 10 years old, +- about 8 weeks, original Michelins, except for one the PO replaced.

My f/t job as a Safety Manager leans me toward best quality tires and brakes, and Costco quoted me $370/tire, vs. $420 from Tire Rack. I was fortunate that my smaller rig fit into their high bay, only had to swivel the mirrors in. One of the Costco's told me they were not allowed to work on a car unless it is in the bay, but that was after I had bought the tires.

I learned how to deploy the spare, how to take off the trim hubcaps, why I should call a pro for any tire changes, and what a great difference new tires make on ride and handling.

Boy OH Boy what a last few weeks.
1. Had some mechanical work done that was too heavy for me such as replaced Rear brakes, rotors and a couple of seals. They lasted over 90,000 miles. ( I do the fronts myself ) Had a Air over hydraulic cylinder R&R to fix a small leak.
2.) took the girl to the body shop and had a dent repaired from a too tight trailer back-up Gonna have to watch that better.
3.) took the stipes ( all faded out) off with 3 eraser wheels.
4.) wheeled the entire coach with my variable speed buffer using 3M #3 compound (looked like new)
5.) put new stripes on with a little different theme.
6.) put a coat of Gel-Gloss on the coach
7.) bought a buffing ball and did the Alcoa wheels.
8.) Put 2 new steer tires on and had a front end alignment.
9.) found the shorted out wire that was causing problems with the Alternator
10.) Lubed up the seals on the doors and the Kwickee steps with Silicone.
11.) put a new pulley belt on the AC.
12.) put a little backsplash behind the stove.
13.) Put 2 new coach batteries in.
14.) replaced the rubber seals around the back window and a bedroom window.
15.) repainted the gray trim between the fiberglass upper and the aluminum lower.

So now I am too tired and too broke to go anywhere. But that coach sure looks good and drives even better.

Talked to Freightliner Help and found out where the pinger is located, pulled the dash off,wow is that some HEAVY duty velcro, disconnected the pinger and it's all quiet now. Sent them a pix of what turned out to be my rather grungy air dryer and ordered the parts for it. Found a shop here that would do the job with my parts,$85 an hour too. They did an awesome job of cleaning it up and on putting it back together in less than an hour, found the heater coil was burned out and that was one reason for the grunge. Ordered a new one and will be underneath today replacing it.It's raining, but dry underneath.
Got a couple of other small jobs to do and then will be starting to load for a week'strip to Woahink Lake RV park in Florence Ore, the first week in June. My 91 Y/O aunt from Portland wants to ride a sand buggy and do some sightseeing there. She and I do some crazy things together, especially for her age. Wine tasting, checking out brew pubs and for her 91st B'day, she took me zip lining at Skamania Lodge in Wash. She's starting to slow down just a tad and now I can keep up with her better.
