What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?

I see the other types of RV's having this type of thread. I did a search and could not find one here. 🙂

Yesterday, I drove mine to work to "excercise" it. I have driven it to work twice in the two weeks I have owned it.

In the two years I owned my Class C, I drove it to work ZERO times. :E

goreds2,
I'm taking my 1997 Xplorer in today for the dash AC. It has had a slow leak for years, but I would fill the Freon with 2 cans for about $10 with the kit I have, and it would run all summer. I just had to do it every spring. But this year I've done it 3 times & needs it again. So the leak has gotten worse. I hope this shop, which has done good engine work on it, can find and fix the problem. I'm willing to replace the entire system if parts can be found even if it cost thousands. The price doesn't matter when I plan to keep it for a long time.
I just talked to the mechanic today. He refilled with freon and it is blowing cold. I have never did that before but am sure it is easy. If he investigates for leaks, it could be big bucks just for labor. We are going to see how long this refill lasts. He suggested to run the air cond. during the winter months about every 6 weeks to keep it lubricated. Your 1997 would be well worth the investment of repairing. Please let me (us) know your results from the repair shop.

I took mine flying. Radio control flying that is, my hobby 🙂 Was also a good day to give the generator a good work out, ran it with the AC for about 4 hours and used it as a cooling off spot between flights.

Yesterday, I ran the rooftop air for about 2 hours as it had not ran for a year. It did great and cooled well.

Also took it to a mechanic down the road to have the driver side power window checked.

He is also investigating why the dash air is not cooling.

Fingers crossed!

Fixed the left blinker, fixed a leak in the house plumbing and fully installed the new Seaflo 3 GPM pump, changed the windshield wipers and setup an alarm system for installation tomorrow when it is cooler out!

My wife and I took ours for its every 6 weeks "get the rust off the brakes" drive. Added a touch of biocide and a gallon of diesel to wash it down the fuel line. Our neighbor begged a ride and loved it. Also ran the genset under load for 15 minutes. Gotta keep it in shape!

New things to install for the classic 1977 Dodge B:

New Seaflo water pump and a Security system with door alarms and motion sensor alarm!

Pics

New Security System

40 year old pump that finally got too old- still makes noise, but I'd guess the seals are shot- sure it could be rebuilt and probably go another 40!

So I installed the new pump enough to test it and it works great, but sadly I have acrack in the old plastic piping that goes under the van.

When the van was plumbed they drilled out a large hole to pass piping through and then cut the pipe and put an small elbow insert and attached the other end of the pipe that ran to the faucet and sink.

I figure I will need to cut the old section out and get a new connector and new joint to attach everything up so probably this weekend for the fix. In the meanwhile I will study and wire up the Security System!

Changed the spark plug and air filter on the Onan 2800 LP generator under my 2007 Great West Sprinter.

Runs much better. Filter wasn't bad. but the spark plug gap had not been set correctly. Old plug .027 new plug at the correct .020.

Little things can make a huge difference.

Looks good, Goreds!

I bought some electrical stuff for projects and setup a timer on the fridge to see if turning it off at times and then back on will help to control runaway cooling.

Hi folks,
Sold our Roadtrek 190V and looking for a used Roadtrek 190P. The Versitile had sleeping problems for two senior citizens. The Popular should work with two 30 inch wide beds that some one can get up in the middle of the night without waking the other. Looking for a used Roadtrek 190P, 1990s vintage, good shape, milage under 100,000 for around $10,000.00. Must be in the New England Area so I could check it out before I buy.

Replaced a bad water valve that was leaking (city or fill tank valve selector). While at it cleaned the inside of the side storage bin and organized. Tomorrow will be upgrading the Fantastic Fan to a unit with remote with an upgrade kit. Otherwise, just using it as often as possible 😉 Just back from a two month trip to the southeast.
