As I sit here this morning thinking about this, I decided that it does make sense
to me and probably other Alaskans. So what i did on my class c Saturday actually was took the winter tires off the wife's car. And we went and looked at one of our favorite close to home spots to go to see that the snow is gone enough
that this weekend we should have good enough roads to go even if it is close to home and dry!!!!!!!!!!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

We took it out of the warehouse it's stored in and took the dogs for their first drive in the Outlook. They were very nervous and stood panting right near us by the front seats. Hmmmmm ... when we go to Manatee Springs in 2 weeks, we're going to make the dinette into a bed and put them on there to ride. We did that in 2002 in a rental and they rode that way all the way to Colorado and back.

Thought we were done with the freezing weather around here, since I had de-winterized it before our last trip. But surprise, surprise, low temps that tied the record for a night this week, 29F. So picked rv up from storage area and brought home to run the furnace overnight during the freezing weather and keep the basement heated.

Took today off. Woke up from a nap with a great solution to mounting the rear view camera. Instead of drilling a new hole under the rear clearance lamp, all I have to do is remove the lamp, drill the 7/8" hole through the existing hole into the closet. Then elongate the bottom of the original hole in the fiberglass just enough to allow the cable to feed under the lamp base, replace the lamp and install the mounting bracket below the lamp.:B

Better yet, instead of filing the fiberglass below the area of the lamp I could carve away part of the bottom of lamp base at a downward angle.

I say the same, I go out and mash the pedal to the floor once and hit the key, She starts right up, Idles up like it should, After the warm up she Idles back down and runs like a new one.

Installed a homemade oak transition strip where the oak flooring meets the new carpet in the bedroom and ran the cable for the rear view camera from the upper rear wall of the moho to the cab. Piece of cake running the cable inside but I have to drill a 7/8 inch hole under the center rear clearance lamp for the cable plug to enter. Now that's a bummer.:E Gotta figure something out to make it waterproof. :h
At least I can now finish installing the Wainscot on that B/R wall then all we need is a new full size mattress for the corner bed to finish the bedroom.
After that comes the installation of the Fan-tastic 6600 vent on the metal roof before it gets too hot, re-hab of the cab, etc. Where does it end :@

It was a nice warm sunny day. I filled the water tank and my buddy and I went trout fishing at a local lake. Had a great day and got some nice fish.

Came home last night and blew the water lines out and put antifreeze in the drains after dumping the tanks (Can dump here at home.) Now we will see if blowing the lines is going to work. We are looking at snow and night temps in the low 20s for the next few days. If it does not at least I will know where the problem is and perhaps fix it so I can just blow the lines in spring and fall. Our temps should be back to 60+ next week.
