Traded the old girl in for a brand Greyhawk 31 FS. Imn sure going to miss her. But I think the bunk beds , onboard genny, 2 slides ...... will make up for it. I cant wait. We dropped her off this sat and pick up the new Jayco in late march.

Fixed a chip in my windshield that I got on my last trip.
I didn't feel like hauling the RV down to Novus and paying the $$$. So I got a do-it-yourself chip repair kit for $10. I'm really pleased with the result which was just as good as Novus. I then fixed 2 chips in my CRV tow vehicle with the same kit.
You might check your insurance policy to see if they cover 100% for chips (my policy does). Usually you can call a mobile repair and they come to you and do the work and bill your insurance company.
If you insist on a replacement of the windshield, they you usually have to pay for the deductible.
