What is this switch?

We bought a 2005 Georgie Boy Landau 35ft a year and a half ago. We are happy enough with the MH but we have one question that nobody has been able to tell us...

What is this switch for? It's located in the driver side as you can see, it doesn't do anything either on or off.

I mean the red switch in the above photo.

Thanks!

Allow me to add to your knowledge base, Doug - our 2007 Bounder 35E Workhorse has a label on the switch. I don't have a camera handy, but the control panel on the driver's left has the 4-way rocker switch to adjust the mirrors, and directly above that is the heater switch. The panel itself is labeled "MIRROR CONTROL" in white lettering - the 4-way switch is labeled "ADJUSTMENT" and the red switch is labeled "HEATER".

I don't know if other models, years, or chassis have the same labeling, but you can be assured that the 2007 Bounder 35E on the Workhorse chassis is labeled!

As someone who has been in the RV business for 40 years, 35 as a motorhome RV Tech, that switch IS OEM, not added. Doug

I agree with the mirrors and holding your hand on them with the switch on for a spell, should tell you something.

It IS the mirror heat switch. The Mirror heat and mirrors are on the IGNITION side of the key switch and if left ON will not drain the battery when the key is OFF. I know of no OEM that labels that common lighted switch. It is a given that since it is next to the Mirror control, then you are supposed to know it is the Heat switch for the mirrors. Not true:B. It has an hour meter next to it....
Is it maybe a start/stop for an APU?
I think I remember seeing others like that.

I'm sure it was well documented on a small piece of paper that got lost in the bottom of the kit before the first owner took possession. I think every unit must have one switch whose use is not really clearly documented. Fleetwood had such a switch for the light in the utility bay in '04.

Can't believe there's a switch on the dash with no indication of what it does!
