Winnebago Vista 30 vs Thor Ace 30.1

Another quick question. I'm in a struggle now because the dealer also has a 3 slide Winnebago Vista for about the same price. Winnebago is a new 2015. Ace is new 2017.. I believe both are on the F53 Ford chassis. 2017 has the new 6 speed transmission. Would you have a preference? Between the two? This is my first Class A and will be my last rv purchase. Thanks for your feed back.

My ACE only has one AC and I would echo the statements here. If you travel in hot climates or anywhere that it gets over 90 while travelling on the road, one AC does not keep up. It's a concession we live with but if I were in the market a second AC would definitely be on the wish list.

Maybe it's something as simple as the rear tire is in a low spot or ........a soft tire at any rate it's a poor way to sell their product it should be leveled.

Cant see the whole picture, but I don't see the ones next to it leaning. My 5th wheel never leaned that bad with super slide out, and they have pretty crummy suspension. In fact, I never even noticed it leaning and we never set the jacks to load it with the curbside slide out.

However, the rear bedroom slide extends out pretty far. It would be interesting to try the same model at the lot or a different lot.

seriously now HOW could it NOT lean with two slides out on one side with no jacks down? its has to lean with that much weight that far off the center of gravity of the MH

my Thor stays flat with slides out and levelers not down
anyway.....level is in the eyes of the beholder

Define severely.

At any rate, I've owned 2 Aces and can't say they lean with slide deployed and no jacks any more than what would be expected. Of course jacks down before deployment anyway and no issue. This is all a moot point and the kind of stuff that sends would be buyers down a rabbit hole.

severely IMHO is where you can look at the RV and notice that it is leaning. I am sure that most all will be slightly affected if COG? is affected but it sounds to me like the reference was where you would notice it leaning when inside and have to tweak the levelers.

We have a 2015 ACE 30.1 and the owners manual says to never extend slides until levelers are down and level. Jim.
