Anyone try one of these yet? They are fairly new to the market I think.

You can slow cook, roast, make one-pot meals, and steam bake. I'm not usually taken in by these informercials, but this looked interesting.

Mine did not come with a travel case, although one was shown on the infomercial. I complained and they agreed to send me one free of charge. Without the travel case I would have returned it. Just kind of keeps everything together.

I was going to get a crockpot, but this seemed like a good alternative. It isn't small, but I'm sure I can find a place to tuck it away.

If anyone has any experience with this, I'd be interested in hearing. I'll post my experiences with it as well.

I wrote a while back mentioning I would like to get one. We did and I love it. I love it for searing, and also use the other 2 feature. I cooked a whole chicken in it today. I seared it to brown it. I took it out and added the rack and put liquid in it. It steamed until it was done, and I put it on slow cook. I could of used the buffet setting but wanted it to cook a little more. It was delicious. I use it all the time, and feel it was worth the price. I got mine from BJ's.

Thank You. I have been watching this for a while. I just got the Nuwave PIC, and am very happy with it.
If I decide to get the Ninja 3 in 1., I will go to BB&B with a coupon. I heard there are lots of Facebook people sharing recipes. I am really leaning towards it. I have other Ninja products and find them to be high quality. Everyone thinks it's just an expensive crockpot, but it's not.

OK, in case the OP is still watching his thread, I have the Ninja cooking system and I love it. Yes it is pricey but to each his own. I have cooked just about everything in it. I did a meatloaf in it last week and it turned out perfect. I have yet to try baking a cake in it but I plan on doing that in the near future. It is so versatile that if it ever goes bad, I will replace it with the same. I love the features it has. You can set the actual temp and time. You can even sear your meats and then cook them in the same pan. The clean up is very easy. I am still impressed.

OK everyone, you can let me have it now, lol.

Hi samandberta,

That would depend on the charging path from the alternator to the crock pot.

I can run mine--but I have upgraded the system.

can you use a 12 volt slowcooker going down road without running batteries down?

I suppose my question is, is it worth the difference between it and the crockpot?

I love mine. Purchased at BJ's for 150.00. Everything has cooked just like the cookbook says. Tonight is Quick Shrimp Scampi, tomorrow will be a beef meal since it's cold here in S. Florida

Even cakes come out like they say. I'm making oven meals that I didn't before cause I didn't want to heat up the TT.

Gee, whenever I ask a question here about something, towing capacity, gas grills, etc. I appreciate comments negative or positive. If I ask about a certain floor plan, I appreciate all feedback, negative and positive, even from folks that don't have the same unit.

I bit the bullet and bought one yesterday!!! I am making pork chops with the steam cook tonight, would let everyone know tomorrow how they turn out.

My husband loves pork chops and chicken breast, and I find them to be dry, when I cook them. I had this in mind when I bought it.

I got it at BJ's for $149.00. We had a $100.00 gift card, so we decided to splurge and get the cooker.

Till tomorrow........:W

Bumpy: The OP asked for specific information. They did not ask for your opinion about telemarketing, advertising, kitchen appliances, scams, etc. In addition to unsolicited, unwanted opinions on this forum, it would be nice to see someone admit to being wrong.;)

Bumby the next time someone asks, why do you have to say anything at all, if you really don't know. Just because it is on TV does not make everything junk. Many stores have the Ninja Blenders, and I have a friend who loves there's . Even someone on here mentioned it. I guess you are the type who just needs to hear themselves talk. If someone asks and you really have used or tried the item, than we would all like to know about it. Don't warn people about something you know nothing about. You may get the nickname Chicken Little. :Z
