CAMPING WORLD MATH

Went in to return an item. Was purchase with other items for $21.00 Everything cost me $11.00 since I had a $10.00 coupon. The item I returned cost $6.98. Since the rest totaled up to $14.00, I thought I would get $6.98 back since I still had $14.00 - the $10.00 coupon. Nope, per CampingWorld math, I got $3.00 dollars back. Odd math the way Camping World calculates it. Oh well, I still got to use $6.00 of the $10.00 coupon on items costing $14.00.

.

The Good Sam Care Team should post their concerns and results in the forum , the same way the original poster shared their thoughts .

We see a lot of apologies but no corrections or results . Hollow at best .

That's the amount you should have gotten back. They have to knock off the percentage that the coupon made. If you think about it people would go there buy an item for $20 use the coupon and pay $10 and then the next day return the item and get $20 cash for the $10 they actually spent.

I agree he should not get back more than originally spent. However, if he had never purchased the $6.98 item then his purchase would have been $14 - $10 coupon = $4 spent. Instead he is paying $11 - $3 refund = $8.

Hello Jdog,

Thank you for writing in and I apologize for the trouble. I would like to have someone contact you regarding this issue. I'm fairly certain we already have your contact information, but to be on the safe side could you please send me a private message with your contact information and the store location you were at, that would be much appreciated. Thank you and have a great day!

I have seen the same thing with Best Buy. When using a rewards coupon to purchase several items, a portion of the reward amount reduces the price of each item on the sales receipt. If one of the items is later returned, I get back only the reduced price amount.

Last time I used a ten dollar coupon at Camping World, there was a $20.00 minimum purchase required.

Maybe that was the case with your coupon, in which case you probably still came out ahead if they let you use $6.00 of it.
