Change to wifi in motion from tv satellite

I am requesting information on the wifi in motion connections such as singlepoint wifi in motion? I now have direct tv and am not happy.

My questions are how well does the wifi receive in remote areas? Is is dependent upon local wifi or is it connected to the mystery wifi god in the sky?

If I am in Montana 150 miles from closets town will I be able to receive wifi? Does wifi rely upon cell phone service in an area?

I may have additional questions for those of you in the know. I am particularly interested in those of you with real wifi experience. It is not a cheap venture to go from sat to wifi.

What's your problem with DTV?

Have unlimited data package so not worried about how much data I use. Mostly we use DirecTV but will stream when dish is blocked. Good tip on the resolution though. That data usage was for 1080P in living room and 720P in bedroom.

Depending on the size of your RV television, set your streaming resolution as low as it'll go. 32 inch and under, 480p looks the same as 1080p. 50 inch and under, 720p looks the same as 1080p... but the data savings is drastic, also buffering in fringe areas is reduced.

A WiFi hotspot just gives you access to the internet. You can stream TV programming and movies on the internet, but this usually requires a subscription to a service such as Netflix or Amazon Prime. Some TV stations stream their newscasts but they are not allowed to stream most of the other program content. WiFi is not a replacement for Dish or DirecTV. If you are in an area with no cell service you will have no internet. If TV is important, stick with a satellite dish.

Basically it's a Verizon MiFi hotspot with a big antenna. So save some money and go with the Verizon MiFi Hotspot hardware which is what most of us use. When you're not close enough to a Cellular data signal there will be no service, this is just how it is.
