CNBC Forced Videos on Chrome

After the latest Chrome update, plugin controls have been eliminated. Is there any way to stop the videos that auto load on sites like CNBC ? With Firefox you can at least stop them from playing. Chrome allows no control of the video at all.

That seems to work for the auto loading videos on CNBC.
Thank You

That does not work. They don't seem to be flash. There is no control available like pause.

I run no script on Firefox
A couple extra clicks to view a page or enter data
Is a whole lot less annoying than to wait on a bunch of **** that annoys me to load before I can continue, the first time I visit some site
Most of the time I just temporarily allow the page to load
These forums, Amazon, and a few others are the only ones that have permanent full permissions
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

You can also run a "noscript" type extension. This is many times safer but more annoying for people that don't wan't to be bothered getting their web browsing setup just right.

Essentially every script on the websites you visit is disabled and you have to go through one by one to activate the ones you want and ignore what you don't.

Upside is no ads, many less cookies and other tracking issues and you can keep videos from loading automatically. You simply click the video box and it will ask to allow the scrip this one time and it will play if you confirm. It is the safest way to browse the net.

Downside is if you don't setup certain scripts stuff like text input boxes or buttons / menus on screen like "post message" won't work.

That happened to me.
I killed Chrome.
One time it would not kill nicely, so 3 finger salute killed it. Just watch out because Chrome will want to restart where you killed it unless you tell it no and slap its hand.

I only use chrome on my mobile devices
But when things like this happen to chrome Or Firefox etc..
I go back to the previous version
Even if it means searching internet download sites to find what I want
I make it a point to update only when absolutely necessary
I ignore update notices, unless I have to have the update to keep something working
Like flash, I get update notices every week
I say skip it
When i get a website that says my version is old and won't load, I select play any way and remember this choice
The video almost always play's
Point of all this is
Don't take updates unless there is no other way to view what you want
Uninstall chrome update
You can do this in Windows, control panel , programs etc..
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !
