Dish Hooper 3

I have the dish 722 receiver that we use at home and use it when we are traveling in the RV. Seams like the 722s have been rebuilt too many times they are not working very well and dish replaces them but it is pain to loose recordings and resetting them up.
How is the new Hooper 3 working to use at home and use it for traveling . Read soon reviews and it sounds like it relely has more capabilities.
Thanks for any info
Dan

And when the coming DPH42 switch is available, the H3 should work with an unmodified Trav'ler as well.
So with the new switch the LNB will not need to be changed? If that is true it will save Dish a lot of $ on the H3 installs.

The Hopper 2 and 3 both work great. You will need an open face antenna to work with it as it cannot work with one of the dome antennas. If you want automatic antenna the Winegard Trav'ler will work with the Hopper 2 and will work with the Hopper 3 but you must replace the LNB and do a bit of work-around to have the antenna lock on.

What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?
