Jack antenna

Want to somehow put a small tv for season on boat at marina in a slip. Does Jack antenna require drilling hole thru roof or can I mount it on a rail. Open to any suggestions for antennas ,will be getting a small 19 inch tv. Wonder if boat rocks a little will still get reception? Wonder if a walmart antenna set on dock would work. Thanks

I believe if you check the Winegard site you will find antennas for marine use.

They are more likely better sealed from water/moisture.

The Jack is a directional antenna, so mounting it on a rail is a little difficult.

Since its on a boat, try a set-top antenna that you can rotate by hand as long as the stations are local. For distance you will need to get something up in the air. Omni's are nowhere near as problematic on boats as they are on an RV, so that's another option, but it needs to clear the deck rigging to get away from rails, etc.
