Everyone's talking about how it worked last year but everything changed as of July 1, 2013.
I think you're going to be in for a shock.
I suspect that the LNB on the motorhome doesn't match the LNB at home - that is if you have service at home like I do. The self service option on the website works with what you have at home so a refresh will work only on the LNB type that you have at home. If the LNB is different on the motorhome then a call through tech service is the only way to get a refresh - and that's when they snooker you. If you're receiving the new HD channels (500 and up) then you have the new XKU LNB. The difference between the LNBs is contained in what satellite they pick up. There are 3 satellites now. The new XKU LNB picks up the new satellite while the old LNB only picks only the old satellites. I suspect that the LNB on the motorhome is the old one since the new ones have only been available for a little over a year now.
I would be curious to know if your system works this winter south of the border so keep us up to date.
Thanks
