What makes a computer clow to wake up from sleep mode? It’s a Dell Inspiron pc.

SSD is amazing for performance - if you have an old spinning disk. 3 years ago I was gonna make work get me a new computer. Instead I installed an SSD and I still use it every day with no issues.

Max out your memory and install a SSD. New life blood for old laptops. (Typing on a "middle of the road", 10+ year old laptop with both of those upgrades.)

From the COMMAND prompt run PERFMON /RES

If your using a cloud backup, they are usually very resource heavy as well.

My Dell comes up in about 2 seconds from sleep but it has an SSD. Cold start is slow because of superfetch and virus checks but they don't run on sleep restart.

Did you us task manager to see what's hogging resources?
