We spend a lot of time in Canada during the summer and would like to find a good reliable gadget to get weather forecasts. We don't have web access. Any ideas?

Surplus Radio Shack brand available at Princess Auto in Canada. Good price and simple to use. I especially like it for traveling because when it is plugged in it will automatically find the strongest weather signal where you are at (if you leave the batteries out of it otherwise it will just remember the settings from your last location).

I have a weather radio on my Harley. Thing of the past? Maybe ๐Ÿ™‚ Radio Shack has morphed into The Source.

We use the same frequencies as the NOAA do for weather radio. If the radio in your rig already does weather radio, you are all set. If not go to Radio shack and pickup a portable weather radio, some FRS walkie talkies support weather radio too.

IMHO a weather radio should be a standard item in anyone's RV anyway.

Good advice.
Aren't Radio Shacks a thing of the past in Canada, or at least in Ontario.
