Comparing a 2007 Four Winds 5000 29R & 2007 Four Winds 5000 28A, both units have low miles (3700 / 11200) on them. The 28A is Ford platform vs 29R Chevy platform. Can I go wrong with either one, or is it just a personal preference? The Chevy has 2 slide-outs vs none in the Ford.

Thanks for all the input, we ended up going with the 28A, upon inspection on the 29R mold was found on the top bunk above the cab, not just a couple spots either, 1 foot by 4 foot under the upper bed into the wood. Walked away from that without another thought.

Personally, I would go with the bigger one with the slideouts.

I'd choose the one with the V-10! :W

can you get both worked on locally? when I had a chevy motorhome no local chevy dealers would work on it and I had to go to a shade tree mechanic. but I would usually prefer the one with slides myself.

I would choose the one with the slides. You will appreciate the extra room it gives you when set up.

For comfort and reliability I would pick the one on the Chevy Chassis.
