Tifton to Columbus just run 520/280 all the way from Tifton (used to be called corridor "Z". All 4 lane- no need to swing through Cuthbert to get to Columbus-- just run Dawson- Richland -Cussetta unless you want to see something over that way.
We use the 520 about once every two months in our 31 foot Itasca towing a dolly and car for our runs to and from Columbus down to central Florida.
Starting out from Tifton rather flat with a little roll. Then the northern bypass around Albany (520/82) has a bit of construction but its an easy drive with no delays. I have noticed this past year the road surface from Dawson up through Ft Benning seems to be getting a bit rough and needs resurfacing but it is tolerable- more noticeable in the MH than in a car. From Richland up through Ft Benning its 55 MPH with short rolling hills. Most of the trip (except through the small towns) is 65 mph.
A few nice produce stands and stores along the way to grab produce, pecans etc. (Marks on the left side of the road between Albany and Sasser)
Recent a run down reflected great gas prices on 82 before entering Albany.
No mountains-- just gentle hilly Georgia Piedmont once you move north west out of Richland.
The law patrols the road a good bit, but I never have had a problem with them in the rig . My SIL got tagged around Sylvester when daydreaming through a drop in speed.
Arriving in Dawson there is a Hardees on the left which has a large area paved for rigs and trucks to get out and stretch, walk the dogs, grab a coke and burger etc. We use it extensively.
If you need to dump black or gray water, the Williams Rd Welcome center on the north side of Columbus on I-185 has a free dump station with easy access (got to give them your license to get the key to unlock it).
All in all an easy drive with virtually no traffic.
