advice needed on cleaning rubber slide-out seals

While washing our camper today we have noticed what appears to be "mold" spots/areas on the seals on top of the slide-outs. We have noticed it in past years and were able to clean it somewhat at those times but this year has been noticeably worse. We have had a wet, cool spring in MN and now is hot and dry. We did winter in FL this past year also. This year we are having a hard time removing those areas and do not want to use anything that will harm the surface of the seals. Any suggestions out there?

I rub my seals with 303 Protectorant. It cleans them while also making them very flexable. I do it ever spring, and sometimes in fall before storing.

Consider a dilute solution of Oxyclean. Works well on moss/mold issues in the PNW. Rinse well off the painted surface and apply a quality wax.

Rubber in slide seals is just like the rubber in tires, in the fact that it rots and crumbles. Every 5-6 years, it is good to completely replace them if at all possible.
