What is the proper thing to do with the battery during winter storage just disconnect or what else. Also during the camping season if I am plugged into shore power is there any maintenance needed on the batteries.

Winter Fully charge, then disconnect or put battery minder/tender (Two different brands of same type of product) on it.

Summer, Check fluid level every month, top off with DISTILLED water if needed.
Proper level is between top of plates and 1/8" below bottom of filler tube.

NOTE: this assumes they are not "Maintenance Free" batteries.

Clean terminals annually.

It depends upon the charger in your TT. Is is a single stage...then just charge up the battery to full charge, remove the neg cable and let it set. If you're in freezing weather for long period of time, remove it completely and take it inside.

Now if you have a mult-stage converter, just plug the rv into at least a 15 amp circuit and let the charger keep the battery charged. You will need to check it about once a month to make sure it has sufficient water in the cells.

Hope this helps
