Why do I have bubbling water in my commode when I flush?
Thanks

Use plenty of water in the toilet when making #2. Fill the bowl at least half full before and a good long flush after. DO NOT let the black valve open while hooked up "for your convenience". Otherwise you get what you likely got. You need the water in the tank to move AlL the contents down the hose. Only open the valve when draining the tank.

A little physics not mentioned. If your vent is blocked and you try to flush the bowl down into the tank, no air can escape to allow the contents of the bowl into the tank. If something goes into a tank, then air has to come out somewhere, and if the vent is block, that "somewhere" is bubbling right up through the "stuff" you're trying to flush down.

Here is my routine.

Wand down the toilet is required to break up the pile.

Here is the routine I have developed over the last three winters.

1. Get a clear sight adapter and put it between the trailer and the sewer hose.
2. I leave the black tank closed for a week at a time. Grey tanks open.
3. I form a pee trap in the sewer hose with a couple boards, one 2x and a 4x4.
4. To dump and flush, I remove the pee trap boards.
5. Close the grey water tanks.
6. Open the black water tank and turn on the hose to the built in flush system.
7. Watch the sight tube until I am down to just hose water coming out.
8. Go inside and do two full bowl super flushes. "Bomb the Pile!"
9. Go back outside and view discharge.
10. Close the black water tank and run the flush water in for four minutes. Do not let anyone distract you at this point.
11. Open and drain and repeat step 10 again.
12. Flush a bit and verify that you have nice clear water coming out of the tank. If not go back to steop 8 and start again.
13. When you have nice clear discharge, put the pee trap boards back the sewer line and fill the pee trap.
14. Close the black water tank and add about a minute worth of water to the tank with the flush hose.
15. Secure the flush hose. I have a little inline valve adapter at the side of the trailer and the other end gets turned off also.
16. Open the grey water tanks and go add your chemical to the tank.

I have had the burping a couple of times, however the super flushes seem to have fixed that issue.

I've also had this problem when the DW uses too much toilet paper. It will sometimes get caught on the lip of the tank and eventually clogs the entry. That is easily seen by looking into the toilet. I then find a stick and poke at it until I get it all the TP into the tank.

I am new here so please be patient with me. May I ask what is a poop pyramid?

When you leave your black tank valve open at a campsite connected to a sewer, the liquids drain, and the solids start to stack up in the black tank right beneath the toilet creating a poop pyramid, or stinky stalagmite ๐Ÿ™‚

Bubbling water from the flush hole or from the tank, burping tank? If the black tank is burping then as said, tank needs to be emptied or venting issue. If it is the fresh water hose for the flushing then there is air in the system. I have this issue usually at the start of the season but also usually at all faucets.

If dumping did not clear the bubbling issue, I got my money on the poop pyramid.
