Campground Suggestions Near Wilmington, DE

My partner has a student who is in a pre-Broadway show with the Delaware Theater Company this April/May and we're considering going up for one of the shows. We would probably go during the week and only stay one night - it's only a 4 hour drive from central Virginia. Any suggestions for a safe and enjoyable campground between Baltimore, MD and Wilmington, DE?

there is also Bar Harbor RV resort... it is just outside Baltimore , I have never stayed there , my neighbor has and said it was nice

Thank you! It looks like that's where we will be staying - I got the same recommendation on another forum as well. Now...to pick the date!

The closest to Wilmington and the easiest in and out would be Lums Pond State Park Campground in Delaware. It has a limited number of sites with electric. Most sites are no hookups. Lots of room between sites. There are water faucets throughout the park and a very convenient dump station. The bathhouse/showers are basic state campground type but are usually clean. It is very close to interstate 95 and easy access to routes 40 and 13 that take you straight into Wilmington.
