I’m confused and so is DW. Not unusual for her but . .
Why do some people have a house and then go full time only to live in one place in their RV full time?
We sold the house to travel and travel we do. We don't stay long in one place wanting to see and do more.
This is not a putdown just don't understand and curious.
Tis another fine day to serve in and for the glory of the Corps. Every day is a holiday and every meal a feast.

We had some camping friends who used to travel around in their RV but then got tired of it (too much effort finding a place, hitching, unhitching, learning the new area, etc.) and then always went to the same CG for a few years and finally sold the RV and bought a condo in Florida.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's because they can afford it; and they want someplace to keep their "stuff". Also gives them a home base, in case they aren't able to continue the fulltime lifestyle?

I think there are many reasons including:

They can afford to keep the house.
They don't want to get rid off or store all their stuff.
It's their escape plan for when they can't travel anymore.
They want a home port.
