Cricket golf carts

I saw a video that shows a Cricket golf cart being loaded in the back of a Honda CRV. That looks pretty cool, and I'm wondering if it is worth hauling one around. Do any full timers use a Cricket, and haul it in your toad? Do they hold up well, and get you around without bogging down?

Iโ€™ve owned several different โ€œGolf Cartsโ€ and the Cricket canโ€™t be classified as a golf cart. Golf Carts are work horses. Electric carts make there way through 9-18 holes then back on the charger until called on again. Up here in the hills, we use gas golf carts that last all day every day tugging Big Ben an Trudy up and down the hills. Crickets while fun to use for short down the street and back jaunts are not Golf Carts.

Here's *your* answer....

Not sure about any "relies"..... but some (me too) may have missed this 3-year old...:W

So here's an on topic reply you can rely on.....

Always see this add in Hemmings Motor News, "Tour Shows with Ease" -
for a silent electric 3-wheeler, carries two riders up to 550 lbs total.

Check it out at "Palmer" - www.palmerind.com
(link *not* provided for folks who don't like to click 'em)

I don't have one - but lots of interesting products including a DIY
kit (electric) for *your* bike or trike.

Are these very good on gravel. The main campground we go to is graveled but is very smooth/flat.

My Brother is a full timer that also works for a church group doing metal work such as handicap rails, etc.

He has used a Cricket for 3 or 4 years now to haul tools etc. to the work site. No issues and his is equipt to haul 4 people.

He bought it for the power and so he can load it through the side door of his enclosed work trailer.

Opening up old thread but curious of any other RVer's here use the Cricket cart. It says the overall length is 58 inches but not sure if that is when it is folded in or the actual length when you are driving it.

Anyone remember the three wheel carts that used to be sold. You could pull a few pins and fold or disassemble the thing. What was/is it called?

Edit;
I figured it out, they were rvrover.net and apparently closed in early 2015.
