Door hinge stop

The new/used Silverado I just bought door will not stay open. Then I noticed the rod that keep the door from springing back is broken. I need to replace it, but I cannot recall the name of the part. On my 2006 it is a plastic stick about 3/4 of an inch wide and about 1/4 thick and 6 inches long. Does anyone know the name of the part?

Thanks. I know the part had a name, but it has been sense High School auto body class I used the name.
