The decorative decals on my 1999 Class C are pretty faded/worn/cracked.

Does anyone have experience getting decals removed and replaced? Who does this kind of work?

Thanks,

Rich

I had the decals on my Class B redone by a local graphics/sign shop. He copied the shape of the old decals and printed copies as close to the original colour as he could. I had both sides and the rear done - all the swoops but not the manufacturer's decal. Looked great! I think the total cost of removal and reinstall was around $500. Not bad.

Mobil sign shops do it. When I have one side done a few years ago I found a guy thaat had a truck that came to me and did the job. Not cheap for sure. You might consider stripping the old decals and painting new ones on. Most auto paint stores will fill rattle cans of any color for you pretty cheap.

It is not an easy job. It takes patience, a heat gun or hair dryer, plastic scraper & something like naptha to clean the glue residue off. Did I mention that it takes a long time. Keep that in mind if thinking about having somebody do the job.
